Design for Music Festivals
Music nonprofit Bang on a Can holds music festivals at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts and downtown Brooklyn in the spring and the summer each year. LOUD Weekend is a fully loaded, 3-day, eclectic super-mix of minimal, experimental and electronic music at MASS MoCA. Long Play is an annual 3-day music festival in venues all around downtown Brooklyn.
Bang on a Can is a multi-faceted contemporary classical music organization in New York City. It was founded in 1987 by three American composers who remain its artistic directors: Julia Wolfe, David Lang, and Michael Gordon. Called “the country’s most important vehicle for contemporary music” by the San Francisco Chronicle, the organization focuses on the presentation of new concert music and has presented hundreds of musical events worldwide.
